S1 – Formula 420 Soak -N- Rinse

What Product Specs Actually Matter For Cleaning?

Understanding a cleaner’s features helps you see why it works so well. The S1 formula was developed to make glass care simple and safe, letting the cleaning agents do the heavy lifting.

This formula is non-abrasive, ensuring your glass and logos remain pristine.

• Its non-abrasive nature is safe for glass, metal, pyrex, and ceramic.
• The soak-and-rinse design is ideal for cleaning without shaking.
• The formula works on contact to break down stubborn resin buildup.
• Enjoy a cleaner piece without worrying about scratches or damage.

The power of Formula 420 S1 comes from its targeted chemical action. It’s designed to be a top-tier bong cleaner for those who value both their time and their glass collection.

How Does It Work On Heavy Resin Buildup?

The liquid penetrates and dissolves the sticky bonds of resin and reclaim that stick to glass surfaces. While shaking with salt relies on friction, this solution works at a molecular level to lift away buildup. This makes it very effective on old, hardened resin inside complex percolators and downstems that are impossible to reach with a brush.

Is This A Good Choice For Cleaning Without Shaking?

Absolutely. It was created for that exact purpose. Shaking can be loud, messy, and risky for delicate glass. The S1 soak-and-rinse method is a safer, silent alternative that delivers a thorough clean. It’s the best way to clean a bong or dab rig if you want to avoid potential damage from drops or from abrasive materials scratching your glass.

It effectively removes heavy resin and buildup without any physical effort.

• Dissolves resin buildup in areas that brushes and shakers cannot reach.
• The leading cleaning method for those who want to clean a bong without shaking.
• Compared to shake cleaners, this soak is gentler on glass and decals.
• Works efficiently on both fresh residue and long-term, heavy buildup.

Using Formula 420 S1 is a simple process. Get a like-new piece in just a few easy steps, with minimal active time.

Mess-Free Soaking Prep Checklist

• The item to be cleaned (bong, rig, pipe)
• Formula 420 S1 Soak-N-Rinse liquid
• Cleaning caps or plugs to seal openings
• A tub or container if soaking a large item
• Access to warm water for rinsing
• A safe place for the item to dry

How Long Should I Soak My Piece For The Best Results?

Soak time depends on the level of buildup. For light, regular cleaning, as little as 15-30 minutes may be enough. For heavy, stubborn resin, you can safely let your piece soak for an hour or even overnight for the toughest jobs. There is no harm in letting it soak longer to ensure a complete clean.

What Prep Is Needed For A Mess-Free Soak?

First, empty any water from your bong or rig and remove the bowl or banger. For best results, give the piece a quick pre-rinse with hot water to remove loose debris. Place smaller items like pipes, bowls, and downstems directly into a container with the solution. For a bong, securely seal the openings with cleaning caps, then pour the solution inside. This prevents leaks and helps you use less liquid.

Follow these simple steps for a sparkling clean piece every time.

• Soak for 15 minutes for light cleaning or over an hour for heavy buildup.
• Use cleaning caps to seal openings for a leak-proof soak.
• Pour the solution directly into your bong or submerge smaller pipes.
• Finish by rinsing thoroughly with warm water until all cleaner is gone.

While isopropyl alcohol (ISO) and salt is a popular DIY method, a specialized soak cleaner offers clear advantages in performance, safety, and convenience.

What Are The Main Pros And Cons Of Each Method?

Formula 420 S1 provides a hassle-free, targeted clean without the physical effort and risk of damage that comes with the ISO and salt method. It’s a trade-off between the low cost of ISO and the superior, effortless results of a dedicated formula.

Formula 420 S1 offers a safer, more effective clean than a standard ISO wash.

• This cleaner is a dedicated, ready-to-use solution, unlike DIY mixes.
• It is non-abrasive, which protects glass from micro-scratches.
• The soak method is superior for cleaning intricate or delicate pieces.
• A great alternative when you want to clean without harsh shaking.

Proper handling ensures safety and gets the most from your cleaner. Store and dispose of it responsibly after each use.

Can The Cleaning Solution Be Reused?

The reusability of Formula 420 depends on how dirty the liquid becomes. For light cleanings, you might be able to reuse the solution 1-2 more times. Pour the used liquid through a coffee filter to remove particles and store it in a sealed container. If the solution is very dark, cloudy, or full of debris, it has lost its effectiveness and should be disposed of.

What Is The Proper Way To Dispose Of The Used Liquid?

Never pour used cleaning solution down the drain or into the garden. To dispose of it properly, pour the used liquid into a sealable container, like its original bottle. Check your local waste management guidelines for instructions on disposing of household chemical products. Many communities have designated drop-off sites for such items.

Proper storage and disposal maintains safety and respects the environment.

• The solution can sometimes be reused if it is not heavily soiled after one use.
• Store the cleaner in a cool, dark place away from children and pets.
• Always dispose of used cleaning fluid according to local regulations.
• Never pour used cleaner down the sink, toilet, or storm drains.
